Somebody Cares Saint Augustine

Who We Are:

We are an all-volunteer, faith-based organization celebrating our 18th year of partnering with churches, businesses, and individuals to assist youth identified by the St. Johns County School District and other organizations as homeless, unaccompanied, or in crisis.

For 12 years, we organized CareFest, collaborating with 36 churches to serve our community through home improvement and other projects that benefitted those in need. Over that time, 8,200 volunteers dedicated 41,500 service hours to complete 963 projects. Today, we continue this mission by partnering with a different church each month to carry out Care Projects that make a lasting impact in our community.

In 2022 we started a new initiative we call Serving the Servants to bless First Responders in our community. 

As an all-volunteer organization every dollar donated goes directly to doing ministry.

Who We Serve:

1. Students identified by St. Johns County School District who lack a stable, permanent, and adequate place to stay, including those forced to share housing due to loss or financial hardship (couch surfing). We also support youth who are not in the physical custody of a legal parent or guardian, as well as those abandoned in hospitals or awaiting foster care.
2. The elderly and disadvantaged through Care Projects.
3. Our First Responders through our 'Serve the Servant' initiative.

Services We Provide:

College scholarships, laptop computers & calculators, emergency housing, clothing, school trips, food, gift cards, senior fees, prom tickets, and other necessities. Handicap ramps, home repairs, and yard work and more.
