$5,000 Goal

We provide jobs and scholarships to empower women overcoming abuse, addiction, exploitation and trafficking so they can rebuild their lives.

  • 80% of survivors of sex trafficking are at risk for re-exploitation.
  • 85% of women who leave an abusive relationship return, many due to lack of financial stability or a support system.

Help us provide education and employment opportunities that empower women to build secure, financially independent lives, free from the cycles of violence and exploitation.

WHO WE SERVE

One Purse serves women who are rebuilding their lives after experiencing abuse, addiction, exploitation and trafficking in Central FL and nationwide.

OUR PROGRAMS

  • Employment: We provide jobs to help rebuild women’s lives. One Purse employs women in The rePURPOSE Project to run an e-commerce purse shop where they learn in-demand job skills.
  • Education: Support the Restore Her Dream Fund and help us provide scholarships for college tuition and vocational training.
  • Empowerment: The journey to freedom is not linear. The Dream Cycle Series is a curriculum that supports women from all walks of life in developing heart and life skills while discovering their beauty and purpose.

WHY PURSES?

"And I realized… for the amount of money I was about to spend on that one beautiful bag, I could change another woman’s life…" - Heather Case, Founder & CEO of One Purse

In 2011, Heather left behind a successful 15-year career in the finance industry, driven by a deep burden to help vulnerable women and children.

In a profound moment while visiting a resale shop, she was struck by a simple yet powerful idea: a designer handbag could become a tool for restoration and hope. That moment marked the beginning of One Purse.

She didn’t know it at the time, but helping women break free from cycles of violence and brokenness would become her calling. She came to realize a gap in services for women overcoming domestic violence and human trafficking. There were few opportunities for women to establish economic freedom — yet statistically, when vulnerable populations lack the ability to provide for themselves, they are highly susceptible to returning to unsafe people where they risk relapse or re-exploitation.

One Purse exists so that vulnerable women will have access to opportunities and resources to break generational cycles, take pride in their achievements and wholeheartedly pursue their dreams.
